This was my second year participating in Evolation’s 30 Day Yoga Challenge. I chose to do it again and use it as an opportunity to re-center and push myself, remembering how awesome it felt last year.

Day one was both exciting and overwhelming, but around day eight or day nine I was in a rhythm. Practicing yoga every day became like breathing. Sure, there were a few days in there where I felt stressed from work and dreaded facing the traffic that stood between me and my mat. But as soon as I made it there, the stress melted away.

I loved feeling my chaturangas flow more smoothly and my warrior pose become fiercer. My poses didn’t become perfect by any means, but they certainly improved. I even felt the physical difference off my mat – my energy level was high, and I felt myself breathing through stress more naturally.

Beyond these physical triumphs, I loved the unique experiences that came with every class. I took classes that I don’t normally take, and I came to appreciate the various styles and personalities of the instructors at Evolation. I collected inspirational stories and insightful advice along the way – from learning to appreciate your body and its changes through the years to practicing the art of forgiveness. I took these pieces of wisdom and strength into my home practices on those when I couldn’t make it to the studio.

When I hit day 30, I felt refreshed and invigorated. I am inspired to keep up with my poses and take more risks with my yoga routine to take advantage of the diverse offerings of talent and style at Evolation.

I’m so grateful to the Evolation team for hosting this special challenge again and motivating me to breathe, flow, and reach new heights in my practice both mentally and physically.

Namaste.
