Join Amanda Pawlowski and learn how to fly into crow and beyond in this fun and challenging arm balance workshop.
When a nerve injury wrecked Amanda’s traditional yoga practice, she was forced to take her practice off the mat and to physical therapy instead. In stepping back, she learned how to properly recruit the muscles in her core and back, eventually learning arm balances. She will share her insight from the injury about the way the whole body works to balance to take flight on the hands.
Students will learn how to effectively engage the muscles of the core and posterior kinetic chain in order to safely get into and transition out of arm balances. Learning the mechanics of these balances is not only challenging but eye-opening and inspiring, so beginners and more experienced students are all encouraged to attend! We will move through an abbreviated but vigorous vinyasa flow designed to prepare the entire body to balance on the hands. Bring your mat and a playful attitude!
