Ayodele’s hot classes are based strongly in her study and practice of the Ghosh and Kemetic Lineages. ‘… Harmonious development of power over the voluntary action of muscles and the involuntary processes of health, lungs, stomach and other organs and important glands.’ Add in the tools of heat, humidity, and most often a mirror and you have the fantastic elements to explore your holistic strength and flexibility. All while energizing the body, being less prone to injury and detoxing!
She welcomes you to move at your own pace and encourages you to be kind to all of yourself – imagining your practice as a tool to re-organize your biochemistry and even basic matter.
How Yoga Serves Ayodele
Yogic practice has opened Ayodele up to the possibilities of genius, self-realization, and self-mastery as exemplified by the ultimate unity of everything. She believes that yoga should be prescribed to all – as we can all use it to overcome the challenges that living in a ‘modern’ world presents as well as the obstacles that our minds create.
Words of Wisdom for Students
Yoga asana is a tool designed, amongst other things, to teach us how to breathe properly. SO! The more you manage your breath, the more you manage your postures. Or your movements – on and off the mat. Be receptive to different teachers and different practices. And pretty please have fun! Laugh when you fall. Smile when the work gets hard. We are all perfect, whole, and complete – work from where you are and allow action to take you to where you desire to be. mORElOVE!
As a youth, Ayodele was exposed to many forms of ancient physical, mental, and spiritual practices. On a particular visit from college, her mother took her to a hot yoga class. Less than 20 minutes into the practice, while standing there, hot as all els, something clicked. It was like magic. And she never looked backed.
Beginning with a Hatha Raja practice, then moving to Bikram yoga, Ayodele would complete Be Hot Yoga Atlanta’s inaugural Teacher Training and Apprentice program. She has completed multiple intensives, trainings, and workshops since then, most recently, Core26+ and Thef Neteru Sema Paut.
