…come out of hibernation with Conscious Connected Breathing!
We’ll begin our time together sitting in a circle to call in collective change for spring. As we go around, you’ll have the option to share what you’re letting go from winter & calling in for the new season. Please have a journal and something to write with for this portion, as well as the journal prompt at the end.
After that, you’ll learn the Conscious Connected Breathing technique, what to expect while practicing, and have the opportunity to ask questions. Then, you’ll be guided through some grounding practices and intention-setting before embarking on a 35-minute journey with the 3-part breath: 2 inhales, 1 exhales, all through the mouth.
We’ll conclude the breathwork portion with 6–7 minutes of shavasana, and a reading. You’ll then have time to jot down what came up for you during the session, followed by a prompt related to the Spring theme. Once you’ve finished journaling, there will be optional sharing about your experience.
What you’ll need:
- Yoga mat
- Journal & something to write with
- Blankets and bolsters provided, or bring your own
For the best experience:
- Avoid eating 1 to 3 hours before
- Have an open mind & let go of expectations
After the session:
- Hydrate!
- Eat something nourishing
- Move slowly and be gentle with yourself
- Avoid conflict / big conversations if possible
