Qishanda creates a safe space where yoga students of all levels can connect with their minds, bodies & spirits cultivating a harmonious blend of creative flows, set sequences, restorative stretches with moments of stillness & peace to allow space for healing & self care.

Yoga serves as Qishanda’s spiritual guide, allowing her to cultivate & explore all parts of herself. On the mat, she has learned to embrace the beauty of each moment by staying in the present moment with grace, self-love & ease. Off the mat, yoga inspires her to approach life challenges with clarity, strength and grace.
Words of Wisdom
One of Qishanda’s favorite mantras is “Peace in the midst of chaos” which means being in control of self no matter the circumstances, even in the worst situations, she believes “we have the ability through breath & mindfulness to cultivate peace”.
Background
Qishanda is an actress, model, photographer – @locvisuals, athlete & founder of Spiritual Loc, a wellness based organization – @TheSpiritualLoc. She first found yoga in 2014, and fell in love with hot yoga because it allowed her to become one with herself in a way she had never felt before. She was on her mat 5 days a week, sometimes 7 days, multiple times a day. She was hooked because she felt better mentally, spiritually & physically all in one. After she was awarded a scholarship & received her RYT-200 & her E-RYT 200 Certification she fell in love with teaching. Qishanda has brought & will continue to bring wellness to urban communities, and she has curated mindfulness wellness experiences for various brands and organizations such as Lululemon, Spelman College, Essence, Target & more.
