Background
Selin began her yoga practice in 2010 as a “calm in the storm” during graduate school. After falling in love with the intensity of Hot Yoga and completing her 200-hour training in 2022, her focus shifted from the external physical practice to a deep, meditative journey inward. Now a powerlifter, she integrates Applied Yoga Anatomy + Muscle Activation (AYAMA), a groundbreaking approach, to bridge the gap between strength and stability for a pain-free, empowered practice. Outside the studio and the gym, she recharges in nature, always seeking the balance between movement and stillness.
Teaching Style
Selin’s classes are a ritual of self-discovery. By blending kriya (cleansing), pranayama (breath work), and deep relaxation, she prepares the mind and body for an inward journey. She guides students to become “silent observers” of their own experience—fostering awareness and observation without judgment or attachment.
How Yoga Serves Selin
Yoga provides Selin with the tools to quiet the mind and reconnect with her intuition through the breath. Physically, she uses AYAMA concepts in her daily routine to prime her body for movement, ensuring she stays grounded and mobile whether she is training or resting.
Words of Wisdom
“Use the breath as a tool to calm the mind and guide your awareness inward.”
